What a Girl!

When I was about Emma's age, I was the flower girl at my aunt's wedding. The night before the wedding my mom had a nightmare that I got into her makeup and got mascara all over my face. Luckily, as you can see in the photo below, her nightmare did not become reality. I was a cute little flower girl and all was well.

If however, it had gone the other way, I might have looked something like this . . .

Friday morning I got out of the shower and after a minute I heard a little noise in my closet. I went to investigate and found Emma looking like this and stuffing M&M's (potty treats) in her little mouth as fast as she could. Obviously I had forgotten to lock the bathroom cupboard. Now you might be seeing that big tear in the first picture and thinking I must have gotten after her, but really she was only crying because I took away her chocolate. What a girl!!

I think she'd better hold off on the makeup for a while. She looks much prettier with out it! haha

It's nice to know I'm not alone in the world of mischievous toddlers :)

Wow Shelley - you were so adorable when you were little - Emma looks so much like you! I love that you capture moments like this and chronicle them for your kids. You can be sure that they will laugh about it when they grow up! :0)
