Aprons
When I was 10 or so, I was in 4H and me made aprons for one of our sewing projects. I remember exactly what it looked like because up until this week I was still using this bright yellow apron with a duck print! My mom helped with our 4H group and has helped me with MANY sewing projects over the years. I'm so thankful that she has that amazing talent and has passed a little bit of it on to me.
Several months ago I saw the cutest aprons on Anna's blog and new that it would be the perfect project for me to begin teaching Hannah to sew. Since Hannah and I finished hers, I've made a few more, including one for myself (see below.) The one above I gave to my sister for her birthday. I've got fabric to make a few more as gifts. Hannah and I are planning some for her friends for their birthdays. So. . . if you can sew and want to pass the skill to the next generation a fun apron might be just the project to start.

Those are so adorable. I love the color schemes and designs! I want to learn how to do them. I need to start sewing I decided.
Hey Shelley, do you have a pattern for that apron? I was thinking maybe I could learn how to make it and give them to Ryan's sisters as birthday presents.
What a great mother/daughter project! Unfortunately, I don't know how to sew, so I look on with envy. The aprons you show are darling and what great gifts they will make! My favorite being the one you made for yourself, but dang it if they aren't all cute. How fun!
Even Ben looks cut wearing his!! Kalani's Mom likes to make aprons for Kalei. They always turn out so cute and they really do make great gifts for little girls. I love the fabric that you used!
Awe! I love them!!! So so cute! And your children make perfect models!
Beautiful aprons... now explain to me again what they're used for... did you say cooking, baking... NO WONDER I'd have no need for one. Lovely though, your color choices are superb!

Oh so cute! Love the fabrics and colors! What a fun project. I'm not sure if mine would turn out that cute, but those are adorable! Now...... if my boys would only wear them! Maybe I'll just make one for me. Your soup recipe sounds great! Although it's still 80 degrees here, I may just have to make some! Thanks for sharing.

When I was little my cousin had a cooking birthday party and her mom made all of us aprons. I still have mine.
Love that you're doing this!
I meant, ShellEy. I have a sister, Shellie...
So cute! I want the pattern too! I don't think I could figure these out myself.
