The Caverns

Yesterday we took a little day trip to Luray Caverns. Cavern photography is not among my talents so these images hardly do justice to the amazing structures we saw. We took a self guided tour with a headset for listening to information along the way. There was a children's version and an adult version. My kids loved listening and looking for the "hidden objects." At one point, in the caverns, they have an organ "hooked up" to various stalactites so when a key is pressed a little hammer hits the rock and you hear the coordinating tone. Every few minutes they play " A Mighty Fortress is Our God." Very Cool! If you live in the Virginia area I definitely recommend a visit to the caverns.
