The Nativity

This is easily my favorite Christmas decoration. It has a very prominent place in our home, ever reminding us of the birth of our Savior and the very reason we celebrate this time of year. This Nativity was given to me over a couple of birthdays and Christmas's by my mom and dad and it's a treasure.

My mom is great collector of Nativities. At the last count she has 71, they come from many lands and are all sizes and colors, some are wood, some glass, some fabric. Many have been given by close friends and family. I'm sure I'll never have that kind of collection, but I hope to inherit a few.

Another one of our Christmas Eve traditions is dressing up to act out the Nativity while someone reads the account from the scriptures. Last year was one of the best. We talked by brothers into the parts of the 3 Wise Men (or the 3 wise guys as we fondly referred to them.)
