It's A Sister Thing

I got quite a few comments about the girls' clothing in the last post, so a few words on matching outfits. Hannah loves the idea of matching with Emma, sometimes with me, but mostly it's a sister thing. Most of the matches have come from Old Navy. Hannah is still small enough to wear some of the little girl 5's which also come in little girl 12/18 months. I also found a couple things at the Oshkosh outlet and Children's Place. I figured this would be the only year I could get away with it size wise and probably the only time Hannah would still think it's cute to match the baby.
I'm happy to have captured a few sweet ones of the two of them, because things aren't always so sweet. Maybe it's because Hannah's gone to school most of the day, but she and Emma haven't really bonded like Emma and Ben. That and Hannah's idea of playing usually involves holding Emma or carrying her, and Emma doesn't like it. Maybe it's a sister thing too. Growing up I wasn't as good to my sister as I should have been. I always wanted by own room, I didn't share very well, and sometimes I was just mean. I guess these two are trying to give me a little payback.
Anyway, Hannah really does love Emma and tries hard to be a good helper. I know that as we've gotten older and wiser my sisters and I have come to love and rely on one another even more and I hope my girls will too, because... it's a sister thing.

Gorgeous captures Shelley. How wonderful for you and the girls to have these in your collection.
Beautiful pictures!! You might try crazy8.com for "matching" outfits, too! They have awesome sales and sizes run up to 14! Believe it or not my boys who are 11 and 9 still like to match on occasion. LOL!
Wow, shelley, they are just so pretty, both of them. I just love these images of them. And I know all about sisters, the good days and bad. Mostly good, though. So precious!

So, So, So Cute!!!
I have two younger sisters (7 years younger than I am) but I'm amazed as we grow up, how much I depend on them and love them! It is a sister thing!
I hope my nieces learn while they are young that having a sister a few years older could be so much fun! I am so greatful that I have gotten closer to you over the years, but I must admit, it would have been fun to have a sister a few years older then me . . . I got Devin though, and he was good enough for me. But tell those girls to cherish it. Thanks for your friendship and for trying to help me become better at scrapbooking and photography. I am glad we share something together.I have enjoyed it very much. Love you.
