Almost...

...but not quite yet. Here's Emma, nearly 16 months and not walking. But with a few steps here and there, we're getting close. My other two didn't walk until they were 14 months so I wasn't expecting an early walker, but it's time and she just doesn't want to do it. In fact most of the time when I hold her hand to walk, she has a little fit, sits down and cries with her hands held up to me. I often refer to Emma as my hip baby because she would be happy to have me carry her all day. Honestly, I think she's got it figured out. She knows that once she starts walking, she's going to be on her own.

What a great shot of your two girls. I know you've noticed that my Emma has the same sweater, which I lovvvvve. (Also have the tights and I dressed her very closely to this the other day...:) But looking at this picture takes me back to my childhood when my mom would dress my sister and I the same. My husband rolls his eyes at that thought, but honestly, we liked it when we were little and I love looking back on the photos too.
My niece just started walking at 15months. I think it's all in the personality and you're probably absolutely right in saying that she knows how to do it, but just finds it easier to be carried. I think they love it once they get going though. Especially when they realize there's all kinds of new trouble they can get into . :) Take care Shelley.
Forgot to say, great capture in bright sunlight. The colors look great.
Quin didn't walk until 18 months. He just refused. Drove me crazy. Good luck.
Oh gosh, this is so cute. I can't believe you found outfits to match, and then just the connection, the look on both of their faces, everytihg. Just so so precious. All three of mine walked later than the last, and my baby didn't want to walk either. Funny thing was, I didn't care that she wasn't walking at 16 months, where with my first, I couldn't wait, and wanted her to hurry up. If I have another, I'm sure I will just want to savor those last baby moments. Your girls are so pretty, Shelley. You need to print this image BIG. :)
Love the cute clothes!
Jacob's been walking since 7 1/2 months, so I have no idea what it would be like to pack him around all day. Man, you must be buff!
SO adorable. My little Anna is right around the corner at 13 months walking too. My three others didn't walk until 18 months so with her, I don't know what to do with her. She is my hip baby as well. I know she could do it but just is stubborn and would rather be carried. Good Luck cute Emma. It's time to give your mother a break.
ps. where did you find those darling tights? They aren't baby legs are they?
I love their outfits! I have such pretty little nieces. That picture is so precious. I think you should frame it and put it in both of their rooms. Good job! Love you
