Jake is fine...

... the car is not. Jake drove off this morning like any other morning except before he came to the end of our street and onto the main road his car exploded into flames. Very scary!! I'm so relieved that he wasn't hurt. We were really hoping our little car with 175,000 miles would get us through the next 18 months. Obviously and unfortunately the car is a total loss. On the brighter side, the golf gear seems only to have some smoke damage. I'm sure Jake wishes it were a total loss so he could get some new clubs. I'm still feeling unsettled about the whole thing, but again I'm so thankful that Jake is safe.

Hope your day gets off to a better start than ours did.

Wow...all I can say is wow. I think my heart stopped when you told me to look at your blog. I am so thankful that Jake is ok. Today is truly a day to count your blessings. Even though one of your blessings is gone now, the one that really matters is still there! Love you and give Jake my love too.

Thank heavens you and the kids weren't in there as well.. and thank heavens HE is okay. Cars are replaceable, loved ones are not.

That is unbelieveable-- Either Jake has superpowers, or heaven was especially watchful over him...so glad he's all right. ALso wanted you to know that I love Hannah's hair-- very fun change.

I just thought I would bump you over 20 comments(WOW!). Seriously I am so glad that you are all ok. Last night on Kalani's way home from work he hit a pot hole and something broke loose from under the Jetta. I think after your experience, the age of our car, and last night's incident we are going car shopping this weekend.
